Nancy Smith (Holmberg) was born to Carl & Gerda. Nancy grew up in the Cultus Lake area with her 2 brothers and 5 sisters. In 1955 she married Ralph Smith and mostly lived in Abbotsford.
Nancy is survived by daughter Judy Enns; sons Bruce (Karen) Smith and Carl (Diana) Smith; brother Douglas Holmberg; 12 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren & 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Nancy had a special connection with all her grandchildren and made them feel cherished and loved.
She was predeceased by her husband Ralph; infant daughter Carla; brother Runnie Holmberg; sisters Ruth Brown, Gladis Shucard, Doris Helverson, Alice Dollemore and Shirley Ganon.
Nancy had a flair for crafting and sewing; she used this passion to start the Abbotsford Senior Crafting Club, encouraging many to explore and discover their own crafting abilities. She resided in Hope during her final years, where she continued to inspire and love everyone around her.
Nancy was a loving person and will be very fondly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave., Chilliwack BC.
