Marilyn Joanne Struys

Marilyn was born and raised in Chilliwack, BC. in 1982 she married the love of her life, Edward Struys, and they moved to Agassiz to pursue their dream of running a dairy farm and starting a family. Welcoming five kids; Michael in 1983, Jason in 1985, Leola in 1987, Anthony in 1988 and lastly Charlene in 1990.

Marilyn and Ed retired from dairy farming in 2010. Upon moving off the farm Marilyn went to school to become a dog groomer. This was a perfect job for her as she loved dogs and always had an artsy side to her. As expected, she excelled in her career, constantly having a waiting list of people wanting her to groom their dog.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Ed Struys, son Michael (Amy, Grandson Brody & Granddaughter Kaylee), son Jason (Sam, Granddaughter Hannah), daughter Leola (Brad, Grandsons Beckett, Ryker, Korbin and Kolt, Granddaughter Raeya), son Anthony (Kristey, Grandson Woods) and daughter Charlene (Adam, Grandsons Troy, Brant, Russell and Nash). Her mother Cornelia Boesterd, Brother John Guliker (Robin) and Loyal dog Kiwi.

Marilyn was predeceased by her sister Leola Guliker, father John Guliker, Stepdad Frank Boesterd, Brother Gerald Guliker, Sister in-law Beth Guliker and niece Janessa Guliker.

Throughout her battle with this awful disease her faith remained stronger than ever. This allowed her to remain at peace and trust in God's plan. To her last day she knew she was safe in the arms of our Saviour.
