Irene Beatrice Miller

Irene passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 16, 2023. Irene was predeceased by husband Alec, children Gordon, Rick and Leora, and siblings, Rose, Pat, Danny, Joan, Evelyn, Margret and Robert. She is survived by Children Ron, Catherine, Gerry, Susan, Denise, Carolanne, stepdaughter Linda, and siblings Elaine and Ron, 15 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren.

As a young girl, Irene moved to Langley with her family. She loved to dance and that is how she met her husband, Alec. They married in Vancouver and shortly after moved to Richmond where they bought their 1st home and settled down. They later moved to Surrey, then a farm in Chilliwack. They then bought and ran Bradner General Store and Post office where Irene became the Postmaster. When Alec became ill, they moved to Abbotsford where she cared for him until his death. She later moved to Coquitlam and eventually returned to Chilliwack, to help care for her grandchildren. Irene cherished her family and especially loved the children. Irene's other passion was her long-term dedication, to her second family at St Paul's Lutheran Church.
