GHEORGHI CORNEANU February 3, 1936 - September 29, 2024
Georgi passed away peacefully in the arms of his beloved wife of 51 years, Elena, at the Chilliwack Hospital, B.C. Canada.
Georgi was a man of few words, known for his dedication and hard work for what he loved the most, playing and teaching Violin. He was a world-class violinist of exceptional ability. He has been a performer and concert master in symphony orchestras, quartets and in chamber ensembles in major musical centers across North and South America, and Europe. Georgi did his post-graduate studies, B.A. and M.A. at the University of Music "George Enesco" in Bucharest, Romania and he received an honours diploma from Yehudi Menuhin School of Music. He has attended master classes in West Germany, Holland and France.
Georgi will be missed for his kindness to others, by his friends and by his wife and family.
