Evelyn Dorothy Trott passed away on June 10, 2022 at Eden Care Center at the age of 94 years and 10 months. She was born in Leduc Alberta on August 21, 1927. Evelyn is survived by her loving children, Diane (Gary) Vermeer, Allan (Dawn), Linda, Jack and Sylvia (Donna), 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 2008, her sister Elsie, brother Robert, Leonard, Bennie and infant son Jerry. Mom came to Chilliwack from Alberta and got married in June 1947. She worked as a homemaker, planted big gardens, helped roof the house and started a home bakery, where she baked apple, blueberry, raisin and cherry pies as well as turnovers and sold them to Super Value. In her retiring years she could be found at a fishing lake anywhere in BC, where the camper would travel. Mom and dad loved fishing in the Merritt area and mom’s diary has 18 years of camping memories. When she was not fishing you would find them at Tim Hortons for coffee and donut. Mom spent 14 years at Eden Care Center where she was loved by all and where she passed away.
