Gregg L. Smith

Gregg was born May 23, l951 at Methodist Hospital to Wilbur and Mary Smith. He graduated from Chillicothe High School. He was married on April 18, 1981 to Diane Strough.

Surviving is his mother, Mary Smith of Chillicothe; two daughters, Amanda (Nicholas Link) Smith of Joplin, MO and Jennifer (Adam) Bartlett of East Peoria; three grandchildren, Cheyenne and Domonic Link, and Adam Bartlett Jr; two sisters, Cheryl Capetz of Forest Lake, MN and Rebecca Philyaw of Whitewater, WI; one brother, Steve Smith of Chillicothe, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend to many.

Gregg was preceded in death by his father, his spouse of thirty-one years, and brother Brad Smith of Chillicothe, Il.

After Gregg's retirement, he was owner/operator of Smitty's Home Improvement. Gregg also loved to ride his motorcycle.

Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe with visitation at 4 pm Thursday, April 16, 2015 followed by the funeral at 5pm. Graveside will

follow the service at Chillicothe City Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to beloved wife.

Memorials may be given to his two daughters.
