Lewis Paul Allen Jr.

Lewis Paul Allen, Jr. age 87 of Childersburg, passed away September 5, 2017 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. His services will be held Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Pete West officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM prior to the service at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel. Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Jane Allen of Childersburg; Son, Joe Allen and wife Tracey of Equality; daughters, Leigh Hall and husband David of Sylacauga and Margie Halls and husband Malcolm of Big Canoe, GA.; Brother, Mike Allen and wife Tammy of Arab; Sisters, Dot Figuette of Childersburg and Frances Elliott of Vincent; Grandchildren, Sarah Hall Stumpf, Allen Halls, Emily Allen, Matthew Hall, Brandon Halls and Abby Allen. Mr. Allen opened and operated The Print Shop in Childersburg. He was a high school sports official for many years. Mr. Allen was also a founding member of the Childersburg Elks Lodge. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served many years with the Childersburg National Guard. Mr. Allen is remembered as being a loving husband, father and Pops. The family will receive flowers or donations may be made to the Childersburg Elks Lodge Christmas Project.
