Mr. Douglas Patton Wesson, age 67 of Childersburg, passed away January 17, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 15, 2016 at Vincent Revival Center with Pastor Jason Allums officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 14 from 6-8 PM at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel.
Mr. Wesson is survived by his wife, Teresa Wesson of Childersburg; Son, Coty Smith of Childersburg; brother, Dennis Wesson (Teresa) of Childersburg; sisters, Shirley Fechner (Bert) of Tennessee and Yvonne Collins (Bob) of West Virginia; Uncle, Burney Wesson (Judy) of Childersburg.
He was retired from Childersburg Police Department with 42 years of service and was a member of Vincent Revival Center.
Pallbearers will be Josh Tubbs, Jason Blankenship, B.J. Keller, Aaron Green, Eric Nichols and Rick McClellan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Vincent Revival Center.
