

Norma Feller went to be with the Lord on April 27th 2017. She passed peacefully surrounded by friends and family at UC Davis Medical Center. As she was greatly loved she will be greatly missed. Norma was born August 15th 1931 in Fedora South Dakota to Walter E. Zimmermann and Everal (Fox) Zimmermann. She is preceded in death by her parents her husband Kenneth Feller, daughter Melanie Philippe, sisters Ruth Zimmermann, Doris Wick and Florence Meyer brothers Carl Zimmermann, Marvin Zimmermann and Arthur Zimmermann. She is survived by her sons Mitchell Feller and Martin Feller, six Grandchildren, sister Lulu Anderson and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Norma attended High School in Howard SD before receiving a teaching certificate at General Beadle State Teaching College in Madison SD later teaching at the Town Hall School in Vermllion SD. Norma married Kenneth on June 7th 1953 in Howard SD later moving to Alameda California for a short time then to Hayward California in 1961 where aside from being a being a great mother and wife she found time to be active in her children’s schools. Norma also worked at the US Postal Service before finding her favorite job outside the home working at New York Fabrics in Hayward CA she love it there and was quite busy as Manager there and sewing at home for friends and family. Kenneth and Norma moved to Magalia CA after Ken retired in 1979. Again Norma found her passion working at Harts Fabric in Paradise CA. Norma enjoyed playing poker with friends and family was a fan of most music. Norma and Ken saw many a show in Tahoe and Reno over the years. Norma enjoyed time with family and friends in her later years and decorating for holidays especially Christmas that was her Favorite time of year from Thanksgiving to New Years and every day in between even more so if it were raining or snowing she just loved it when it rained she would say you can’t buy that smell or feeling anywhere but just be patient and you get it for free. Norma became more of an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the SF Giants and the SF 49ers games with family and could get quit excited at times and well animated at other times One of Norma’s favorite way to say I Love You which she did often was: “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around neck and a barrel and a heap and I’m talkin in my sleep, about you, about you.”
