Sindy Lo

Sindy Lo was born in Malaysia in 1940 to a business family. While she was still a toddler, she was brought to her father’s house in Canton, China to live with her paternal grandmother. She had a wonderful childhood there.

She met her husband, Wei in Hong Kong and was married in 1962. They had three children, Dorothy, Dennis, and Doris. The whole family immigrated to the U.S. on a cold winter day in January, 1976. Sindy became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1981. She and Wei had their own business and worked every day together for 8 years. Although, their time together was cut short due to illness, they had 38 unforgettable years together.

She loved being around her friends and family. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whether watching Chinese soap operas on TV, having a meal in a restaurant, traveling, or riding on a roller coaster. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held Sunday August 30, 2015 from 4- 9 PM at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 N Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60625. Prayer service will be Monday August 31, 11:00 am Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery.
