Rita G. Morales

Rita G Morales born May 22, 1940 joined her husband Jose Francisco Morales (RIP) May 4, 2024. She is survived by her two sons Francisco J., 58 and Juan A. 57, Four Grandchildren Kandace L. 36, Zachary I. 33, Alexander J. 31 Angelica M. 18. She was blessed with three beautiful Great Grandchildren Xavier L. 6, Isabella L. 3, and Janessa M. 1.

Rita was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Federico and Cipriana Gallo. Rita emigrated to the United States in the early 1960s and Frank followed. They settled in Chicago, Illinois, thanks to family and friends, and established a life there. Rita and Frank were married in 1966 and were blessed with 47 years together, they bought a house and attended to their children. Rita worked odd jobs to help support the family, finally settling with the Board of Education as a Lunch Room Attendant for Senn High School. Although she worked Rita made sure dinner was on the table at 4:20 and her family was attended to. She retired from the Board of Ed and moved to Marfil, Guanajuato where she spent her final years, with the help of family and friends.

Rita’s cooking will be missed. Rita’s loving and doting nature will be missed.

Her infectious laugh and beautiful smile will always remain in our hearts, Rest in Peace.

A visitation for Rita will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60625.
