My favorite memories of my uncle mike are at our cottage. Fishing and playing cards with him are my most cherished memories. I will never forget our playful jokes about his Mickey Mouse ears and making waffles at my cottage as he said "leggggo of my eggggos!" A million times until I stopped laughing. He was always taking time out of his day to check on me and to tell me he loves me, he had such a big heart. I will miss him so much and his smile and laugh will be so easily seen and heard whenever I close my eyes. I know GaGa welcomed you with the warmest hug. Xo

I'm very saddened. Mike and I were on the Pony League Tigers together in 1978. I'll never forget one Saturday we had a game on diamond 5 - which was literally a few feet from Mike's house. He was playing third base and someone hit a line drive right at him. It was a scorching hit and Mike didn't react in time. The ball hit him right in the chest. You could hear a "thud." Mr. Herman (our coach) waved for Mike to come to the bench, but Mike just shook his head and wouldn't come out of the game. I remember the look on his face showed he was in pain. But he wouldn't let that stop him. That's the kind of guy he was.

So sorry to hear about Mike. My prayers go out to you, Mr. McNicholas, Dan, Ann, Tim, and Billy

My favorite memory of my Uncle Mike is one from the cottage. Our family had a bonfire one summer night. After it ended and everyone went up to bed, Uncle Mike & I stayed "up late" together. We kicked back the lawn chair as if we were laying in the sun, but we just starred up at the stars. UP North u can see evvvvveery star in the sky, every constellation. We sat there looking up laughing, talking, joking for hours. Uncle Mike always put a smile on my face he will be truly missed by his nieces & nephews, love u. xoxo

Rest in peace Mike u was a good friend.  Still can't believe this is real

Billy Joel reminded us in song that "Only the Good Die Young." May God welcome Mike with open arms, into His Heavenly Kingdom, where Mike will find peace and serenity.  Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, pray for us.
