Kazimierz Pikul passed away peacefully at home under the loving care of his family, born to eternal life on Aug. 24, 2012, at age 88. A beloved husband of the late Balbina, and devoted father of Helen (Lester) Myslinski, Louis (Cathy), Joseph (Ellen), Christine (Andrew) Jarczyk, John (Terri), Henry (Elizabeth), Emil (Joanne), Sophie (Thom) Frueh, Mary, and Cecelia; adoring grandfather of 23, great grandfather of 6, cherished son of Tekla and Jan Pikul; fond brother of the late Jan, Stefan, Tomasz, Boleslaw, and Stanislaw. He was a true family man loved by his family and friends. He epitomized the “can do” attitude, and instilled that self reliant belief within the hearts of his children. He loved to dance and sing, tell stories, and the outdoors. He is remembered for greeting you with a smile, and making you feel welcome. We will miss you tata, we know you are with mama at last. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 26, from 3 to 9 pm, at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave. Chicago. Funeral will be held on Monday, Aug . 27, beginning with prayers at the funeral home at 9:15 am, proceeding to St. Constance Church for Mass at 10 am. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
