To Johnny's family and friends:

In our traditions and customs, we try to remember those who were loved and for whom we cared at least once per year and more often in some cases. 

So, I just want you to know that Johnny's memory lives on, his kindness, wisdom and humanity still evident in all of us whom he touched in some way during his time on earth.

May his memory be for a blessing, may all of you remember the goodness he brought to this world, and know that he is still in our hearts and loved as he was loved in return.

While I was his colleague at work, I am proud that he felt that we were friends, too.

I remember Johnny when he coached my son on how to play baseball, he was patient and understanding but a great teacher and continued to be friends afterwards as well. 

I remember Johnny as that kind, polite gentle giant who attended the San Lorenzo games always with his beautiful family.  We will miss you, you said little but your heart was shown in your big smile .RIP ,heaven is an even greater place with you.

I worked with Johnny for a number of years and his can do attitude and calm gentle way was a true blessing to all of us. May he rest in peace.

Johnny was a good friend was like a brother , I knew Johnny sense we were kids at Boys and girls club, we worked together went to school together. Johnny was the one who got me into baseball he will truly be missed . My condolences to his family at this tragic time. He will be missed. 

One of the most kind coaches I have ever been around. Johnny had a combination of competitive drive and genuine warmth - he cared deeply for others. He will be missed.

Johnny was an introverted  man  who I admired as a friend and person. He was a great father and spouse to Lea. May he rest  in peace. God Bless  your Family. My deepest condolences . Prayers to all 

My condolences to Lea, the kids, Johnny's parents, and the rest of the family. He was always a pleasure to speak with and he will be missed.

Sorry for the family and his kids never going to see them grow up new Johnny sense he was 6 years old going to the boys club always wanting to play baseball everyday use to watch wrestling at his house good times he will be missed we all was family love you brother.

Thank you for your commitment to these kids and to the sport . And also being there even if Milo may be sometimes hard to deal with. Thank you for the memories we had on the field. I will miss u hermano. Look out for us will your up there.

I’m so sorry to hear the passing of Johnny my condolences to the whole family.  I knew Johnny from working at Resurrection he would always have a smile on his face and always say good morning.  We would always ask each other how our family and kids are doing.  RIP Johnny!

I knew Johnny from work at Resurrection. I work in security. Every morning when seeing him he always stated good morning to all with a smile on his face kind and friendly. My condolences to his wife,kids and the whole family. Rest in paradise Johnny.

Leah when I heard of Johnny passing my heart dropped because Johnny was and still is my best friend this hit home for me because Johnny always told me keep going forward and don’t let anything pass me by I hugged him and told him I love you big brother cause that how I saw him as because he had a generous heart he will go out of your way I’m going to miss him we graduated together Johnny I love you big brother may you RIP

To Johnny’s Family:

I heard today of Johnny’s passing.

Lo siento.  

It was my privilege and honor to have worked along-side Johnny for a short time in 2018-19.
  
It is a measure of Johnny’s character, personality and values that in this brief time my respect for all that Johnny was, and stood for grew immensely.  Johnny always conducted himself with class and dignity no matter the joy or adversity he faced in his personal or professional life.

I learned over time that Johnny’s style was to always look out for others, and to help them in a way that was often quiet and un-publicized.  Yet Johnny also possessed strength and courage, with a willingness to call out others when he knew they knew the difference between right and wrong.

Johnny was a leader.  He walked the leader walk.  He led by example, considered both sides of an opinion, and not only looked to do things right, but also to do the right thing.

I last spoke with Johnny over a year ago as my career path took me elsewhere.  After I left, I thought of reaching out to Johnny many times, just to say hello, to see how he and his co-workers were doing.  To ask about his family and kids, to ask about the upcoming baseball season.

I am so sorry I did not make that call.  

I will forever regret not doing so.

The world will be a tougher place with Johnny leaving us so early.
  
The world is a better place for Johnny having been here.

May Johnny’s memory be for a blessing.
