We were so blessed to know Henia Johnson for over 45 years. We met by chance back in Elk Grove Village, IL when our two sons Ronald Thomas and Richard Johnson were friends. From the start Henia and I became best friends. She lived at 75 Grassmere and I lived at 75 Grange Road. We grew a heavy friendship and became much like sisters through the years. Back then in the early 1970's we worked at Pre Finish Metals together. We spent time every day together back and forth to each others homes, having coffee and raising our children together. I moved around alot, but always kept up with Henia. She was welcomed into our family many years ago, and my children thought of her as their second Mother. We spent a lot of time with our children together. Late night television shows, sleep overs and traveling back and forth to each others homes. She met my whole family, attended weddings and special events with me and always made us all happy to be around her. She had a way about her that was warm, and a beautiful speaking voice. It was very hard back then to be a single Mother, but somehow she made it easier for me as I was a single Mother also. We shopped together, went out together, and shared so many precious memories that only the best of friends could share. Henia loved to garden, and she had quite a talent for floral arranging. She made me some of the most exquisite flower arrangements that I have ever seen, and I will cherish them for the rest of my life. She was very generous, elegant and classy, in her youth she drove around Elk Grove Village and looked much like a Movie Star out of the 60's & 70's. I was so proud to have a best friend like Henia. We shared so many heart warming days together, which I remember as My Days In The Sun. Back then we were care-free in a world that was less hectic, but overwhelmingly hard for Single Women like us. I will never forget Henia, I so wish I could just pick up the phone and give her a call, she always had a way of making you feel good, just by hearing her voice!!! I already miss her dearly, and have learned that Time is Precious, and I will never ever have a friendship like I had with her. You will be so missed Henia, words can not express the emptiness I feel in my heart without you here with us. My heart goes out to her Children and family, there will never be another one like her. I am so blessed and my family was blessed to know Henia she was very special and cared and loved her family so  much as wel as other people. I will never forget how I met Henia at Walmart I recognize my customers and I found out her name  the next time I saw her I said Hello Henia she said how did you know my name I said I heard it from the bus driver who said to her one day that she bought too  ,  Every time I saw her even if I was busy waiting on another customer I always talked to her or said hello. Even had lunch with her to see her garden which she was so proud of and my kids would help her with from time to time. I was so blessed.I will miss her and so will my kids but I know she touched everyone she met. Now God has called her home but her heart and spirit lives on. My family sends our deepest sympathy and prayers for you she will be missed

Louise,  Dave, Billy, Melanie & Timmy, We are so very sorry for your loss. Henia was a very beautiful person.  I'll always treasure the flowers that she arranged so perfectly for my wedding (which I have saved) and all of her kindness. Love and comfort to all of you and to Rick, and Jeff and their families too.

So sorry for your loss.  Aunt Henia was a caring, giving person.  Prayer and condolences to you all.
