Espiridion M. Espina (“Espie”), 67 a longtime resident of Skokie, IL passed away Friday, September 13, 2019. He was born November 17, 1951 in Angeles City, Philippines. Espie is survived by his loving wife, Susan R. Espina (nee Abel). Loving father to Mae Espina (Lesley), Jeff Espina (David), Lennie Espina (Kim), Rocco Espina (Stacy), Melinda Wainscott (Kyle), Samantha Espina (Dave), and Elena Espina.

Brother to Imelda (Emy) Peto (nee Mercado).

Beloved Lolo (Grandfather) to Jax Mosquera, Jade Mosquera, Ethan Espina, Tyler Espina, MaKenzie Espina, Jenna Espina, Maddox Wainscott, Liam Espina, and Mia Wainscott. Lolo to Alex Cimmarusti, Marco Chur, Angel Cimmarusti, Alexia Chur, Tyson Espino, Mateo Cimmarusti, Mikko Espino, Jillien Sangchantr, Eleanor Cimmarusti, Faith Cimmarusti, Isaac Cimmarusti and Mila Evangelista.

Fond Uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Loving cousin and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother - Victorina Mercado, sister Carmelita DeGuzman and his late wife Ofelia Cunanan-Conliss.

Funeral, Saturday September 21, 2019, 9:15 a.m. from Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave, Chicago to St. Peter’s Catholic Church, (8116 Niles Center Road, Skokie, IL 60077) for a 10:00 a.m. Mass. He will be laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N.
