Happy birthday Catherine, you would be 79 this coming day before July 4th. You are so miss by me and so many of your friends and cousins. I miss my prayer partner a lot. I know you're praying upstairs. I miss my friend lots and lots. Godzilla was on the other night and I thought of all our trips to those movies over the years when we were so worn out. You are such a blessing to me and I know you continue to bless me thank you Catherine for being you and for being my friend say hi to Danny and  Caddie for me and the rest of the group up there. My sincerest condolences to the Reardon Family . I’m sorry to be so late but I literally picked up the phone today to call Cathy to catch up and when I discovered that both phones were disconnected, I googled her name and found the obituary. I met Cathy around 1990 at CPD headquarters.  She was an incredible human being as you, her family already know.  I will miss her dearly as she was a wonderful and cherished friend. I will hold her memory close to my heart, and remember her and her family in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the privilege of working with Cathy many years ago doing recruit background checks for the CPD.  She was always so friendly and down to earth and was a great detective.

Such a good woman, now gone to God. She lived a generous,brave life  and always had a deep spirituality that showed itself in good conversations over the decades. Peace, Cathy. 

Cathy was our neighbor directly across the street. We are so sad to hear of her passing and will miss her dearly. She was ever so kind from the moment we met her 5 years ago. She was a woman of faith and we know that she is now reunited with her parents and brother. Rest in paradise Cathy. 

I have known Cathy for about 50 years.  Her kindness and sensitivity to whatever I might need was truly amazing.  It was a special blessing to share our Charismatic Renewal experiences and relationship with God.  She will be missed greatly.  I only hope her example of giving love will spill over into my own approach to others....

We met Cathy in the 90's at Queen of Martyrs. She always let the light of Jesus shine thru her smile,
her gift of song, and her ministry with her puppy therapy.  Cathy always had an encouraging word, and was a fervent prayer warrior.  We will miss her.

When you are a friend from the age of 14, you have many happy  memories.  There were pajama parties, graduation , trips
together with other high school friends, and many , many get togethers throughout the years. Cathy was a bridesmaid in  my wedding in 1966.  She always had a smile and kind words for everyone.  Her faith and devotion to God were always evident.
 She was someone to admire and love.  She will be missed by all her longtime friends.  We were blessed to have these years together..All of us see her as an angel in heaven.  Love, Julie(Helmold) Malis

Cathy was such a wonderful, loving person.  We were constantly talking about our dogs, neighbors and life in general.   She touched many lives here on 106th Street and on Hamlin.  I remember her Daisy - and how hard that loss was to her.   May she be with the angels in heaven  Daisy and Mariah!    God bless her and all of you.

I got to know Cathy when taking her class through Renaissance.  I witnessed her great faith and dedication to her pets, through that class as well as a parishioner at Queen of Martyrs and Mass at the St. Xavier chapel, and the Queen of Martyrs Adoration Chapel.  I know she will be sorely missed by all who knew and interacted with her.  Sincere condolences and May she Rest In Peace.

I knew Catherine through Mercy Association and Renaissance at SXU. She was so bright, engaging, and deeply spiritual. She will be missed, but I have no doubt she was warmly welcomed into God’s loving embrace,

Cathy, my Godmother, you will always be a pure example of God's love in my life.  I will miss you immensely but keep you always in my heart.

Your love for your four-legged babies was immeasurable.  The work you did with Rainbow Assisted Therapy was a source of joy in your life.  I am sure you are in Heaven at the rainbow bridge enjoying the company of all the four-legged angels!

 Shocked to hear of Cathy's demise. She visited Sri Lanka in November. 2016.. She worked with me st Trinity House , Chicago, as Spiritual Director, under the Directorship of Fr. John Keenem SSS, She was also a member of Eymard House of Priests (EHOP) in Sri Lanka, Chicago Branch and was a very generous benefactor. In the ministrt to Priestsof the EHOP. All the EHOP members & I are praying for her.

Cathy was a special,  smart, loving, capable devoted woman.  I had the pleasure of many visits at her home, at the doggie parks, at Queen of Martys Church and in Choir.  Her love for God and dogs was pure.  She will be missed.   Mat God continue to Bless her soul.🙏💚🙏

Catherine was very proud of being a Mercy Associate.  She formed a partnership with one of the Sisters residing at Mercy Circle and visited her often.  I know that before the Covid restrictions she would bring her dog there and provide pet therapy for many of the residents.  I also knew her through Queen of Martyrs parish.  I will miss seeing her at Mass and chatting with her afterwards.


Cathy joined Rainbow Animal Assisted Therapy in 2001 with her dog Daisy. Over the years Cathy and her dogs had a profound impact on those they visited.  
They worked at a variety of programs including Mercy Circle, Summit School, Christ Medical Center, Advocate Children’s Hospital, Little Company of Mary Hospital, St Xavier destressing, and most recently Richards High School. As an instructor of the Introduction to Animal Therapy class, she mentored teams new to dog therapy.   She was a tireless volunteer.

Cathy will be missed at her programs, at training, at Rainbow events and most of all by the families she touched so deeply.

May she rest easy from all her labors.   From her friends at Rainbow Animal Assisted Therapy.
