Carmen Ramirez

Carmen Ramirez nee Flores, age 79, our beloved mother, sister, aunt, friend, grandmother and great-grandmother died on Sunday, October 20, 2019 in Chicago, IL. She was born on May 23, 1940, in Chicago, IL to Eloise Vargas-Flores, and father Manuel Flores. On December 18, 1965, she married Juan Rios Ramirez; widowed on March 24, 2001. Carmen was a stay at home mom, focused on raising her five children. She loved Motown music, everything Elvis and the Chicago Cubs (favorite player Ron Santo.) Carmen is survived by her five children: Daughter Rosa Gallo, husband Michael, grandsons Manny and wife Ciara, and Jose (Chito), great grandchildren Manuel, Haley, Ezekiel, and Logan. Daughter, Juanita Ramirez, granddaughters Nichole and Carmelinda (Carmie) and grandson Richard (Ritchie), grandchildren Isaack, Fabian, Noah, Emily and Logan. Daughter Carmen Ramirez and husband David Striegel and granddaughter Lorna. Daughter Lupe Ramirez and husband Ernie Vasquez, grandson Danny and wife Natalie, granddaughter Cassandra (finance Jamie) and grandchildren Danilynn and Nathan. Son John Ramirez.

Visitation will be held at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 W. Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638, on Wednesday October 23, 2019, 3-8pm. Closing prayers will be at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home. A mass will be held at St. Symphorosa Catholic Church, Thursday, October 24, 2019,at 9:30 am. Burial will be at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery 1400 S. Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162, where services will end.
