Janis Margaret Stefanchik

Janis was born on May 10, 1955, in East Cleveland, OH. She graduated from Euclid High School in 1973. Janis was a lover of all animals, particularly horses. She eventually purchased her own, October, and enjoyed spending her time riding & showing him. In her mid-20’s she took her passion for horses on the road for a year with three of her best girlfriends working as a groom on the Hunter Jumper A-Circuit.

Janis went on to marry her beloved husband, Albert Stefanchik, and shortly after purchased their home in Newbury, OH coining the name October Hill Farm. Janis is also survived by her son Peter (Nicole), daughter Hannah, brother Jack and grandchildren Carter and Adalynn. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Helen, sister Jill and brother James. Janis enjoyed spending most of her time with her family and in nature, particularly amongst the Hemlocks on her little slice of heaven down by the river. She will be remembered most for her kind and gentle soul always carrying a smile on her face everywhere she went. She will be greatly missed by all that had the privilege of knowing her and loving her.
