William Richard McCommon, aged 75, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. He was born on November 9, 1949 in Chattanooga, TN and has been a resident of Chattanooga for all of his life.
William proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army for 24 years. He also served in Vietnam. After he retired from the Military he became a Carpenter; he loved building things as a Carpenter.
He loved riding his motorcycle with his friends, spending quality time with his kids and grandkids whom he was so very proud of!
William was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia MCommon; mother, Vieva McCommon; father Richard McCommon; brother, Moose; sisters, Gloria and Mary Ellen; stepson, Ron Gibleyou; along with other family members.
Those William leaves behind to cherish his memories are his precious and devoted daughters, Michelle McCommon (John Hoeldt), Jamie Kramp (Michael Kramp), Angie Coffelt (Chris Coffelt), Heather Kuehl (Brandon Kuehl) and Julie Solis (Robert Solis); sisters, Barbara Vaughn, Pat Chandler, Theresa Green and Cathy Turner; step children, Bonnie Jespersen (Billy Jespersen) and Debbie Johnson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family, relatives and dear friends.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 1:30 pm at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404, with Senior Pastor Sam Greer, Phd officiating.
