Ron was born on June 4, 1933 in Knox County. He was preceded in death by his parents Virl and Lytha Moore, first wife Barbara R. Moore of 50 years, stepbrother Gene Owenby and beloved brother-in law Jerry Alley.
Ron was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Knox County but most recently attended Providence Baptist Church in Ooltewah, TN. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He loved fishing and was an avid Tennessee VOLS fan. He was a member of York Rite Bodies, past member of Ooltewah Masonic Lodge #741 and past patron of Ooltewah OES #365. He retired from ADT in 1995.
Ron is survived by his wife Mary Frank Moore, twin brother Donald V (Betty) Moore, daughter Debbie Moore, son David (Regina) Moore, stepson Jimmy (Debbie) Hixson, granddaughters Marie (Brent) Conibear, Leana Moore, step granddaughters Andrea (Ben) Witt, Paige (Jeff) Lewis, grandsons Patrick Arthur, Brandon Moore, Brandon DaRocha, Daniel Moore, great-grandchildren, Ashton Conibear, Waylon Conibear, Ivory Conibear and beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday September 5, 2019 at 12:30 PM at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. John Jones officiating. Interment will follow the services at The Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors, Pall Bearers are Patrick Arthur, Daniel Moore, Brandon DaRocha, Jerry Thomas and Steve Spawn. Honorary Pall Bearers are Masonic and Eastern Star Members. Family will receive friends from 5-7 Wednesday at the funeral home with a Masonic Service following at 7 PM.
