She was preceded in death by her mom, Evelyn Rogers.
Mary was a member of East Chattanooga Church of God. She loved her family, shopping, Tennessee football and Lady Vols basketball.
Survivors include her husband; Perry Carr of Chattanooga, Tennessee, sons; Matt Simmons of Ooltewah, Tennessee and Blake (Katy) Simmons of Nashville, Tennessee, stepdaughter; Jessica (Brad) Embry of Water Valley, Mississippi, stepson; Harrison Sandifer of Louisiana, father; James Rogers of Ooltewah, Tennessee, sisters; Sandy Rogers of Harrison, Tennessee and Cindy (Jim) Smith of Ooltewah, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018 in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday prior to the service.
