He spent the last 45 years living in Ringgold, Georgia previously working at Candlewick and Piedmont
Construction, then retired and was current owner of 4-Way Produce. He coached girls softball,
and was a true Jack of All Trades – if you needed anything you got it. He built the best motors for dirt
racing at Penton & Hollis speedway where he held many championship titles.
He was preceded in death by first wife, Margaret, mother, father, 2 brothers, 1 sister, son,
grandparents, niece and nephew.
He is survived by wife: Doris McNabb, sons: Jerry Grant and Phillip “Bucky” Pinkard, Brother:
Tommy “Rudolph” (Patsey) Pinkard, Sister: Judy Pinkard, several grand and great-grandchildren, many
nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, 12/21/24, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, service to follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel
of Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services Franklin-Strickland Chapel. A graveside service will
be held later in Roanoke, Alabama.
Donations may be made to the family for remaining expenses.
