Kathleen Velma Rich

She was the daughter of the late Cap Elkins and Della Nichols and was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde P. DeSha, second husband, Rev. R. Frank Rich, two brothers, Rev. James Elkins, Bernard Elkins and two sisters, Mildred Rich and Myrtle Bidwell.

Kathleen retired from J. C. Penney and Miller Eye Center at Erlanger.

She was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Clinton, Tennessee.

Survivors include her three daughters, Carol (Dr. Don) Dunn, of Clinton, TN, Jeanie ( Nathan) Chandler, of Chattanooga, Linda (Gordon) Meade, of Jacksonville, FL, three step-daughters, Barbara Sedman, of Soddy Daisy, TN, Jimmie Shockley, of Hixson, TN, Jo (Pete) Molnar, of Cleveland, TN, eight grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with her sons-in-law, Dr. Don Dunn and Rev. Nathan Chandler officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
