Janet Lee Soto

She was a Teacher’s Assistant for Bess T. Shepherd Elementary in Chattanooga and formerly for Space Coast Junior High School in Port St. John, Florida. She loved children and had a special gift, not only for teaching, but was also an encourager.

She recently funded her son’s mission trip to Africa through Hope Commission.

Her giving spirit often put others before herself.

Janet attended World Restoration Center (WRC), Redemption Point, and River of Life Church.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Tulio Soto; sons, T. J. (Kate) Soto; Bryan Soto; and Jordan Soto all of Ooltewah; parents, Billy and Patricia Mathis of Boaz, Alabama; and sister, Michelle (Michael) Mathis-Brock of Walnut Grove, Alabama.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. in the Valley View Chapel with Bob Bibee officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Autistic Association or the American Cancer Society.
