James Peter Shefchik, Jr., went to heaven on October 7, 2021. He was born in Ashland, Wisconsin, on December 10, 1928, and also lived in Indiana, Florida, and Tennessee(Ooltewah). He is survived by his wife Joyce, to whom he was married 72 years, a brother Ed, 3 daughters, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jim made sure his family was well-cared for and had FUN.
He was in the Navy, raced his own stock car, taught Sunday School, and drove his semi-truck long haul. Jim became a pilot and flew his own plane. He and Joycie square danced for many years, and Jim taught himself how to play the ukelele.
He will be missed greatly.
A private service will be held at a later date.
