He was a longtime member of Apison Baptist Church and faithfully served as Treasurer for more than 30 years. He enjoyed bowling and loved the Atlanta Braves.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Charlotte Land Anderson; his son Rick Anderson (April) of Apison, Tennessee; his daughters, Emily Jessica Moreno (Carlos) of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Amy Anderson Gilliland (Andy) of Baltimore, Maryland; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Richard will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Apison Baptist Church,11127 Old E Brainerd Rd, Apison, TN 37302, followed by a celebration of life service at 3:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Macil Duncan and Dr. LeRoy Spinks.
