Gladys Yvonne Haven

She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Dorothy Scott and was preceded in death by her son, Terry Haven, and seven siblings, Claude Scott, L. J. Scott, Wallace Scott, Nell Malone, Sam Scott, Chalmus Scott, and Lynn Scott.

Gladys retired with Buster Brown, Inc., in Chattanooga. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and was an avid reader. Her greatest joy was spending time with family especially her great grandchildren.

She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church and had served as a former Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include her grandson, Jeffrey Haven (Danielle), of Murfreesboro, two great grandchildren, Brittany Haven, Bryce Haven, and a brother, Cecil Scott, of Chattanooga, TN

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 2023, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. John Trewhella and Dr. Tony L. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Ooltewah Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 23rd, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to White Oak Baptist Church, 310 Memorial Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37415.
