Geraldine "Gerry" Bevins Haywood

Geraldine “Gerry” Bevins Haywood, 86, of Chattanooga, TN, died Tuesday, February 26, 2019. She was born in Pikeville, KY, to the late George Conder and Lena May Bevins. Gerry lived in Louisville, KY before moving to Chattanooga, TN eleven years ago. She was active in the Modern Quilt Guild, quilts of valor, and knitted winter scarves for those in need. She also created multiple dresses for children in East Africa through Global Outreach Developments International. Gerry was a member of Beargrass Christian Church in Louisville, KY for 46 years and attended Christ United Methodist Church after moving to Chattanooga, TN.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Luther Haywood, and her son, Charles Brian Haywood.

Gerry is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Dr. John Miller of Chattanooga; three granddaughters, Jordan, Ashton, and Peyton; one grandson, Nikolai; and sister-in-law, Judy Haywood of Largo, FL.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Cave Hill Cemetery, 701 Baxter Ave., Louisville, KY 40204. There will be no visitation.
