Eric Christopher Shipley

He was born March 30, 1978 in Chattanooga.

Eric was a 1996 graduate of Ooltewah High School and was Band Captain for the marching band. He received his Bachelor of Business Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

For many years, he worked as a rental property manager.

Eric enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his niece and nephew who adored him. He loved all sorts of music, was a history buff and enjoyed playing golf. Eric was an animal lover.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Shipley; and grandparents, Frank Patrick, and Jim & Juanita Suits.

Survivors include his mother, Elaine Patrick Shipley of Chattanooga; one sister, Meaghan Shipley Wear of Port Allen, LA; one nephew, Samuel Wear and one niece, Briley Wear of Port Allen, LA; his grandmother, Ruth Patrick of Chattanooga; three aunts and three uncles; and 9 cousins.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

Memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter.
