Emma Lee Ramsey Johnson, 82 of Chattanooga, TN, died peacefully at The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Collegedale. She was a former pre-K teacher at Silverdale Baptist and retired from Hamilton County Government where she was Executive Assistant in the Personnel Dept. for over 20 years. She graduated from Tyner High School. She was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, a Choir member and enjoyed her time with the Prime Timers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Johnson, her parents, Tom and Irene Ramsey, sister, Betty Jo Ramsey Cofer; mother and father-in-law, Kenneth and Flora Johnson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dee Johnson, Barbara Johnson, Mary Collins, Venona Holder, Neil Cofer and Gilbert Burdette.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Debbie) Johnson; daughters, Susan (Dan) Sivley and Karen (Leslie) Renegar; grandchildren, Zac Johnson, Billy Sivley and Dani Sivley; brother, Claude (Jan) Ramsey; sister, Dixie (Michael) Eiseman; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Valley View Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org or a favorite charity.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday evening and 1 – 3 p.m. on Thursday before the service at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
