He was born May 26, 1933in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Gladys & Edward A. Coulter, Sr.
Mr. Coulter was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War in Japan.
His sister, Norma Jean Learch preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Sue Coulter; daughter, Gina (Nelson) Haynes of Ringgold; son, Roger (Mary) Coulter of Chattanooga; brother Charlie Coulter of Signal Mountain; grandchildren, Kayla Marshall, Abby Crosslin, and Kaitlin Coulter; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte & Wade Marshall.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and their staff for their care for Mr. Coulter.
A graveside service will be held Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. Dr. Doug Plumlee will officiate.
