She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church and was an avid artist and songwriter.
Edith was a godly and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Her brother, Elder Lockhart preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Calvin Roach; children, Yvonnda Gail White of Boynton, Georgia; Anthony Wayne Michaels of Orlando, Florida; Katrina Looney of Ringgold, Georgia; sisters, Alice Kenner of Dunlap, Tennessee; JoAnn Walker of Palmer, Tennessee; 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday in the East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. Danny Henson and Chaplain Richard Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at New Liberty Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
