Mr. Henson was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He was a member of the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church. Donald also enjoyed photography, fishing, reading, especially reading about history.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Beulah Henson.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Elsie Henson; daughter, Donna (Mike) Hill; grandchildren, Tiffany Hill (fiancé, Daniel Massengale) and Mark (Kiersten) Hill; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Tanner, Ada and Hunter; sister-in-law, Loretta Brown; niece, Susan (Tony Suggs) Brown and son, Evan; and nephew, Bobby (Andria) Brown and daughter, Skyeandra.
There will not be any visitation at the funeral home.
Graveside Services will be at 2 PM on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Collegedale Memorial Park.
