One of the sweetest people on the planet!  Always diligent in her work as my dental hygienist. and all the while remaining approachable, sensitive, patient and extremely sensitive to the fears of a 70 year old coward!!!  Love you so very much "Miss" Cynthia, forever in my heart, prayers and memories... 

I was broken hearted to hear of Cynthia’s passing.  She was a long time Dental professional to me and my family and parents.  We were taken back to hear of her passing.  Cynthia, You will be missed. May your family take comfort in knowing you’re in a better place.  As with all believers, we will all unite again to be with the Lord and fellowship with one another again.  

Some people are such bright spots when they’re gone the world gets a little dimmer; that best describes Cynthia.  She was my hygienist for over 10 years and she was a friend.  When I moved to another state, I traveled hours just because I didn’t trust anyone else for my cleanings.  My visits were enjoyable; I loved hearing about what’s new with her kids and grandkids and expectant grand-babies 😊 She always had a beautiful spirit about herself.  Her love for the Lord shined through everytime we talked. I pray that the Lord comfort her kids & family during this time.  She will be truly missed by many.

I just found out today and am probably still in shock. I thought Cynthia had been my hygienist for 20 years or more because we clicked so well together. I can't say how many times we talked about birds, gardens, flowers, veggies, lol just about everything good. Mostly, we shared about our kids and her grands even requesting prayers and giving them. I went into the office today for something thinking 'I have to ask her about Korea and the kids, especially her new grandson'. If she was such a great influence on my time here on earth when we only saw each other a couple of times a year, I can't imagine how her loss will be for her family. Be assured that I'll be lifting you up in prayer for years to come.

To the children of Cynthia West as we knew her—Faith Hannah,  Luke, Caleb, and Jakah,  we are so sorry for the loss of your mother. Your family lived with us when you first moved to Chattanooga.  You were so young and the most sweetest children. Our sincere condolences to each of you.

My family and I have been seeing Cynthia at Wolftever dental for almost 20 years. She made our visits something special. She was a wonderful and caring human being and will be dearly missed. Our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. 

Cynthia was my hygienist, you were treated with compassion and great care. We worked together at Chester Frost monitoring our Bluebird nesting boxes last year and enjoyed sharing gardening plants and ideas.  She built my first Bluebird nesting box as a surprise.  Her family was important,  she enjoyed the outdoors, loved to travel and a great listener. She was much loved by many of us.

What a force of nature Cynthia was! We're fellow members of the Tri-State Bluebird Society and she had asked that the Alpine Crest Elementary bluebird houses be made an official trail of the Tri-State chapter. We  had the pleasure of making that happen for her just last month.  Though she wasn't feeling up to par, she came to help build 50 birdhouses at my house just days before she passed. Nothing would keep her from pitching in to help the bluebirds.

We recently talked about how excited she was about her new grandbaby in Korea but, even more, how much love she planned to shower her 13 yr old granddaughter with as she moved in with Cynthia. Much love to your granddaughter, Cynthia, We will all miss your light!

She was a wonderful, amazingly capable woman whom I enjoyed working beside. We had much in common. She will be sorely missed. 

My condolences to her family and friends.

Cynthia was my neighbor and friend.  We purchased our houses about the same time.  
It didn’t take long to see what an amazing person she was.  
Always so willing to help others- no matter how busy she was.  And she was always busy!!  She never sat still.  Always had a project or two or three she was working on.  There was no project too big that she wouldn’t try. 
She loved working in her yard and working with the master gardener and bluebirds groups. She loved traveling and would be planning her next trip as quick as she could.  
Cynthia had such a strong faith. One of her favorite trips were her trips to Israel.  Her faith was stronger each time she returned..
Her pride and joy was each of her children and her grandchildren.  She loved the times she spent with each one.  What memories each of you have!
We shared a lot of”adventures in life” as we called it, as our children grew up and we grew older .  I will miss you my friend——- Linda

Cynthia was in my Master Gardeners 2022 class and we became friends, chatting about fixing up birdhouses at Alpine Crest, grandbabies and gardening.  

We were both members of the Tri-State Bluebird Society, recently completing 50 new birdhouses with the group and catching up afterwards on her trip, welcoming a new grandson, plus how thrilled she was with her granddaughter recently staying with her.  

She was a wonderful person, thoughtful & caring for her family, friends and faith, and a true joy to be around.   Hope all the good memories bring you peace.  


I got to know Cynthia just this past year as she was completing her Master Gardener certification.   I was volunteering at Alpine Crest Elementary with Randy O'Haver.   Occasionally we might have another MG join us but alot of times it was just us two until Cynthia started coming.   The three of us were a great team and got alot done!   I was amazed at Cynthia's woodworking  skills which came in very handy!  She was always up  for whatever project Randy had planned.  The last project we started on was a bridge over a ditch.   The last Saturday that Cynthia was there we moved the frame to it's new location.  Randy told me later that Cynthia had already measured and calculated how she would put the boards on and what supplies she would need.   We were all excited about this new project.  I will miss her dearly on our Saturday work days!  Randy and I have planned to put a plaque by the bridge in her memory.    Prayers for the family of this wonderful lady.    Kathy Worley
