Chuck was born on October 8, 1943 in Cincinnati, OH, and resided on Cagle Mountain; Dunlap, TN for 30 years. He was a Master Mason specializing in brick, stone, and marble setting. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, completing two tours, the first in Berlin, the second in Vietnam. He was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Green Berets.
After returning to U.S. soil he was in active employment with the U.S. Department of Defense, and after retirement served as Military Police for both the Tennessee State and U.S. National Guard. After he retired from the Military he then worked as an Independent Contractor for over twenty years.
Chuck was a member of the U.S. Department of Defense; Freemasons 32° Scottish Rite; MP - National Guard, The Sons of Confederate Veterans - Columbus, GA Branch, Member TN Sheriff’s Association 1999-present, a Volunteer Policeman (Dunlap, TN), Life Member - VFW, Life Member - NWA Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Arms Brown; and brother, John Gary Day.
He is survived by four siblings, Sondra M. (Streeton) Magin, R. Michael Streeton, H. Lynn Arnold, Charles W. Templeton; eleven nieces & nephews; one daughter & son-in-law, Lysa Maria & Eric Scealf; two granddaughters & grandsons-in-law, Destiny Surreal & Eddie Sanchez and Rhapsody Forever & Drew Poteet; one step daughter, Tamara Hunt and four step-grandchildren, Steven, James, Gin’a and Chris; and adopted brother & sister, Verne and Tana Duke.
