Charles H. Pittman

He was the son of the late Herschell Raymond Pittman and Cora Ester Lawson Pittman and was preceded in death by his wife, Robbie McCorkle Pittman, three sisters, Mildred Webb, Virginia Jo Webb, Sue Jones, and three brothers, Leon Pittman, Herschell Pittman, Jr., Jesse Pittman and grandson, Hunter Chase Hargrove.

Charles was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Gilman Paint Company after 44 years of service.

He was of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl (Bobby) Hargrove, of Ooltewah, TN, two sons, Glenn (Jackie) Pittman, Jeff (Vicki) Pittman, both of Harrison, TN, five granddaughters, Brianna, Lexi, Cherie, Megan, Kelsey, two great granddaughters, Elena, Hadley, great grandson, Cannon, brother, David Clayton “D.C.” (Thelma) Pittman, of Jasper, TN, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Minister Raleigh Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with military rites being conducted.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
