He attended Chatham Schools and the University of Denver.
Jackson loved traveling and spent much time in Southern France, Scotland and England as well as sailing in the Bahamas and Southern Seas. He was a highly skilled and talented designer and builder of many Chatham homes. He was an expert woodworker, and his passion was being creative with “old world skill” workmanship. He was an avid skier, loved boating, traveling, and he was a long time member of Eastward Ho Country Club and served on the Chatham Historic Business District Commission.
He was greatly appreciative of his two Chatham brothers, RIck Smith and his wife Kari, Tim Smith, and his sister, Heather Smith Labbe’ and husband Gary. They all took “ His Journey” this past year alongside him. His family would like to extend thanks to his friend Brett Peterson for caring for him while he enjoyed his dream of finishing up and customizing his boat this past winter in Florida. .
He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Justin Smith, Ricky Smith, Victoria Smith, Lisette Labbe’, Samantha Smith and Owen Smith.
For those who knew and loved Jackson, a “Celebration of Life” reception will take place on Monday, June 26th, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm at Eastward Ho Country Club in Chatham, MA.
