Mary Ellen Kingery

She was born on November 21, 1925, in Tovey, IL, the daughter of Felix and Kazmer Norville. Mary married Garland Allen Kingery on November 29, 1947 in Kincaid, IL. He preceded her in death on August 8, 2017.

Mary attended Tovey Elementary School and graduated from Kincaid High School and Springfield Business College. She went on to work as a professional secretary for the State of IL, from which she retired. Mary was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Chatham.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and six siblings.

Mary is survived by her children, Ken (fiancée, Rebecca Moore) Kingery of Chatham and Kaye (husband, Jim Caudill) Corrigan of Naperville, IL; grandchildren, Lisa (husband, Ryan Moskal) and David Corrigan; and three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Zoey Corrigan, and Hallie Moskal.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 700 E. Spruce St., Chatham. A prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph M. Molloy, officiating. An additional visitation will be held prior to mass from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.

Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
