He was born on May 14, 1949, in Okarche, OK, the son of Jim, Sr. and Patricia Dean (Marsh) Kintz. Jim married Raye Dagen on May 14, 1972, in Muskegon, MI.
Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, where he learned his skillset in aviation mechanics. He went on to work for Garrett Aviation from 1978 to 2017, first in Arizona and then relocated to the Springfield location as an A&P mechanic. He was an excellent mechanic, whether it was on a lawn mower, vehicle, or an airplane. This past Memorial Day, Jim was officially a member of the Springfield community for 36 years. He was a previous resident of Muskegon, MI and also Chandler, AZ. Jim enjoyed hunting deer with his brothers-in-law in Michigan. His relationship with his family was very important to him, especially with his granddaughter. Friends also held a place in Jim’s heart, including his co-worker friends, whom he still kept in contact with after eight years of retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Laura Pittner and Linda Hallinan.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Raye Kintz of Glenarm; son, Chad (Alecia) Kintz of Sioux Falls, SD; granddaughter, Aubrey Kintz of Sioux Falls, SD; siblings, Terry (Faye) Kintz and Sherry Barclay, both of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
