He was born on September 26, 1949, in Quincy, the son of James Hugo and Gussie Lou (Brooksher) Branham. He married Loyce A. Evers on January 9, 1983.
Dareth worked for the State of Illinois Department of Revenue. He was a member of Rochester Christian Church. Dareth loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed classic cars, movies, traveling, antiquing, dancing, and attending his grandchildren’s events.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Dareth is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Loyce; daughter, Rebecca L. (John) Scranton and their children, Joshua L. Scranton and Abigail J. Scranton; son, John W. Backs; son, Chris (Brenda) Branham; daughter Amy Branham and her son, Aidan Branham; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Dareth will be Monday August 5, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. -10:45 a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Butler Funeral Home, Chatham, IL.
