Sandy native to Charlottesville was born on October 13, 1945 to the late Ollie Hicks and Margaret Kirby Hicks.
Sandy spent 20 + years working at the Darden School of Law before retiring. Upon retirement Sandy enjoyed fishing with her husband, Curtis. They also spent time playing in local pool tournaments. Sandy loved to entertain, spending time by the pool and cooking out with friends and family. She especially loved her border collie, Dawg.
Sandy leaves behind her beloved husband of 38 years, Curtis Jenkins; her sister-in-law, Darlene Zeller; and her special friend, Catherine Ladd.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 5:00pm – 7:00p at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Road Charlottesville, VA 22903. A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Teague Funeral Service in the Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Monticello Memory Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Parkway Charlottesville, VA 22902.
