Mrs. Janice T Shifflett

Janice was born in Albemarle County to Raymond and Martha Thomas, where she grew up and graduated from Albemarle High School. After high school, she married Wallace Shifflett and they shared many wonderful years before his passing in 2003. They loved dancing and traveling together on ACME Bus Tours. Janice worked as a Production Associate at General Electric. After retiring, she shared her life with her second love, Cecil Bragg, working in her yard and tending to her flowers, creating a life she was proud of. She will be greatly missed.

Janice is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Shifflett; her parents, Martha and Raymond Thomas; her siblings, Charlie Thomas and Peggy Jarvis; and her beloved, Cecil Bragg.

Janice is survived by her siblings, Mary McAllister and Raymond Thomas; her brother-in-law and friend, Albert Shifflett; her close friend, Ashley Lacy, whom she affectionately called her “adopted son”; and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing & Visitation for Janice will be held Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Rd, Charlottesville, Virginia 22903

Graveside Service will occur Monday, September 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Holly Memorial Gardens, 3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, Virginia 22911
