William "Bill" E Sanders

Bill was born January 7, 1930 to Carl and Annie Mae Rose Sanders. He was the last survivor of two sisters and four brothers.

He was a Korean War veteran of the U. S. Army, and proud to serve his Country. Bill was also an avid Nascar race fan. His favorite was #3 Dale Earnheart. Bill was employed and retired with Cone Mills of Pineville for many years.

Married 65 years to his beloved wife, Barbara Ann Crump Sanders. She passed away January, 2018. Bill often told everyone he met, "She was the best thing that ever happened to me."

He is survived by his daughter Sara Sanders of Charlotte, NC, his son Bill, Jr. "Buzz" and wife Charlotte of Fort Mill, SC; three grandchildren Paul Meacham of St. Simons Island, GA, Kelly Dusek and husband Ben of Charlotte, NC, Matthew Sanders and wife Kalyn of Fort Mill, SC; two great grandchildren Leo and Joules and one on the way.

A time to remember Bill will take place on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. Military honors will be presented at 2 pm.
