William Denman Burries

William Denman (Denny) Burries passed from this life into eternity on May 6th 2014. Denny was born November 13, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Arthur and Alma Burries. He Graduated Thomas Carr Howe High School and Denny, some time later enlisted in the United States Navy in February of 1951. After the Navy Denny re-entered the work force with Texaco for over twenty years, Denny was a devoted son, husband and father.

Preceded in death by His parents Denny leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 16 years Mary Burries , sons Michael Burries of Charlotte, Richard Burries of Charlotte, Douglas Burries of Cincinnati, James Burries and wife Debbie of Cincinnati, Keith Burries and wife Traci of Charlotte and daughter Sharon Whitson of Gastonia, as well as 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday the 25th at 2:00 at West Gate Masonic Lodge, with military and masonic rites. The family will receive friends after service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Levine and Dickson Hospice 1420 East 7th Street Charlotte, NC. 28204 for the wonderful care they gave Denny.
