Vivian was born on December 11, 1925, in Iredell County, North Carolina, and was the youngest of seven children. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, and Mimi, who loved spending time with her family. She had a quick wit about her and brought laughter to everyone around her. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Charlotte.
Vivian was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Robert Shuford; parents, Stamey and Daisy Sloan; six siblings; and one great-grandchild, Brayden.
Surviving are her daughter, Kimberly Shuford Martin (Donald); grandchildren, Lindsay Muckenfuss (Shawn), Ashley Sietmann (Jimmy), Ryan Craven (Danielle) and Cory Craven; three step-grandchildren, Chad Martin, Traci Bruce (Eric) and Kevin Martin; and four great-grandchildren, Lucas, Cameron Nolan and Tanyon.
A memorial service will held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 10, 2019, at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel in Mint Hill, North Carolina. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
