Valori “Val” Cameron Troyan, 69, of York, SC, passed away peacefully March 9, 2023 in her home. Born October 21, 1953 in Charlotte, NC, Val was the daughter of the late Albert Barnes and Marjorie Deaton Cameron. She married Gary Troyan on February 2, 1990 in Charlotte, NC.
Val was a graduate of Myers Park High School and worked as a Computer Programmer for numerous years. She began a second very successful career in Sports Merchandising in the late 1990s.
Val enjoyed making jewelry, designing floral arrangements, camping in her youth, spending time in Cherry Grove Beach and Ocean Isle Beach and partying with friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, daughter and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Gary Troyan; daughter, Cameron Brooke Bolick and fiancé, Rodney Seiwert; grandchildren, Cameron and Dakota Brides; sister, Deborah Cameron Morris and husband, Sid Morris; brother, Ron Cameron and wife, Laura Cameron; nieces and nephews Randall “Bo” Hartzoge and wife, Wendy; grand nephews Cam & Beck Hartzoge; Taj Troyan, Jeff Troyan and wife, Julie; Jordie Troyan; and Juliana-Marie Troyan.
In addition to her parents, Val was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Cameron Merz and her husband, Curtis Merz.
Val was such a sweet and loving person and she will be dearly missed by us all.
