Scotty was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, and graduated from Charlotte Catholic High School, where he formed lifelong friendships and was known for his warm spirit and kindness. He continued his education at Marshall University where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega.
Scotty had a natural ability to connect with people and touched the hearts of all who knew him. His personable nature, infectious smile, and kind heart brought joy to many. Whether he was with friends or family, Scotty's presence was a source of comfort and happiness.
His favorite hobbies were fishing, music, attending sports events and being with his friends. Scotty was an avid Carolina Panthers and Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Scotty is survived by his loving parents, Jane Tezza and John Tezza; brother, Austin; uncle, Jay Holcomb; aunt, Rachel Holcomb; cousin, Marshall Holcomb; uncles, Mickey and Willie Tezza; Steve Phifer; along with countless relatives, friends, and his beloved dog, "Buddy", who cherished his company and will forever hold in their hearts.
Scotty's memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he shared with those who were fortunate enough to know him. His family invites all who knew him to celebrate his life and the lasting impact he made on those around him.
Scotty's favorite charity is the Humane Society of Charlotte, an organization close to Scott’s heart. Your contributions will honor his love for animals and his compassionate spirit.
The family will greet friends starting at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at McEwen Funeral Service – Pineville Chapel, located at 10500 Park Road in Charlotte. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 3:30 pm in the McEwen Chapel.
