Born June 28, 1948 in Munich Germany, Scott was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. George Kremers of Kokomo, Indiana. Scott obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin and earned his MD at Indiana University Medical School. Scott moved to Charlotte following a Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at Duke University in 1981.
Scott began a successful and accomplished career as a Pulmonary and Critical Care physician until his retirement in 2010. He was beloved by his patients and his dedicated office staff of Mecklenburg Chest Medicine. Scott had a love of literature, gardening and enjoyed traveling in his retirement. He was an enthusiastic mentor and teacher to all his nephews and nieces. Scott was a consummate storyteller and always appreciated hearing and telling a good Joke.
Scott is survived by his wife Patricia (Blocker) Kremers, beloved daughter Kate Elaine Kremers of Lexington Kentucky, his brother Dr. Mark (Karis) Kremers of Cornelius, and sister Joan Bailey of Greenwood, Indiana. He was predeceased by his sister Ann Kremers of Boston, Massachusetts.
A celebration of life event is planned on March 25th, 2023 from 1-5 pm at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery in Charlotte. Donations may be made to Doctors Without Borders at www.doctorswithoutborders.org.
