Roy Wilson Simpson

Mr. Simpson was born to the late Valda Hough Simpson and John Wilson Simpson on August 19, 1930. He was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Simpson is preceded in death by the love of his life, Doris Stephens Simpson; by brother, T.J. Simpson; by sisters, Ruby Lee Simpson and Louise Cochrane.

Mr. Simpson is survived by his children, Teresa McAllister (Steve) of Mount Pleasant, NC, Larry Simpson (Sherry) of Matthews; sisters, Mary Ellen Carriker, Beatrice Noles (R.S.), Gladys Dulin, Judy Jackson (John); brother, Brady Simpson (Nancy); brother-in-law, Dave Cochrane; grandchildren, Jennifer Ko (Donghee), Clint Simpson (Kelly), and Wilson McAllister.

The funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 6 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 6440 Old Statesville Rd, Charlotte. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at McEwen Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd, Charlotte.
